Mothers ditch maternity leave to save careers

Mothers are rushing back to work after maternity leave, worried that their career will be harmed by spending too much time at home with their babies.

A new study of 1,521 mums by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, found that 35 per cent of those in full-time employment, admitted to feeling pressure to return to work as soon as their maternity entitlement was up.

A whopping 56 per cent were concerned about the impact on their future career should they take any more leave.

A 19 per cent of mums even returned before their basic maternity leave had finished.
But many mothers actually missed their working environment, with 55 per cent glad to return.
