Robinsons cash grant available to winning run down playgrounds

Outdoor play is disappearing in the UK, 90 per cent of parents worry.

According to research by Robinsons Fruit Shoot, three quarters of parents with children at primary school age found their children were happiest when playing out doors.

But two thirds of parents also feel their local playground is in need of repair.

Now, supported by Play England, Robinsons is calling for all parents to support the ‘Parents for Playgrounds’ campaign to help improve playgrounds in need of repair.

Renovation bursaries of up to £15,000 are available for up to five playgrounds.

Nominations will be taken until 16 March 2011, a shortlist going to public vote.
