Organising children’s birthday parties are too stressful

It won’t be news to those parents who have tread the political landmine of organising a birthday party for their child, but now new research backs up these fears proving that deep down, it stresses us all.

In fact, 95 per cent of parents claim to find organising a party stressful.

Making sure all the right people are invited, worrying if anyone will turn up, are the party bags up to scratch and the dreaded nut allergies are just some of the things for parents to panic about.

According to findings by Spur Steak & Grill, 93 per cent of the wider public think that birthday parties have changed significantly since they were children.

A total of 78 per cent also think that children’s expectations are so much greater than when they were children themselves.
