New baby arrival forces parents to reevaluate their principles
Having a baby makes parents reevaluate their lives, putting principles into action and becoming more sensible.
A whopping 64 per cent of UK parents are motivated by the birth of their baby to make changes in their lives, according to research from the ethical bank Triodos.
A total of 44 per cent forced themselves to become more sensible with money.
Not wasting so much food was the resolve of 26 per cent, whilst 15 per cent reduceD the amount of gas and electricity they use.
MotherS are more determined than fathers that their children will be sensible with money.
One in five grandparents and one in four parents are also saving for their children’s future, with one in six parents having children who are already saving money for themselves.
