New Story of Mum website a great creative and witty resource for all mothers

A unique new website due to go live on Mothers’ Day, encourages mothers from all walks of life to get creative and share their stories.

Rather than being just another ‘us mums are wonderful’ website, the site is intelligent, witty and creative.

Mums are encouraged to try short creative activities and share their experiences.

Best of all, there is a special gallery for mums to upload a photograph of their home at its absolute worst possible mess.

The site has been developed by a mother and daughter team in Cornwall – Pippa and Penny Best – and funded by Channel 4, UnLtd and FEAST.

Pippa Best says: “We wanted to make a space where mums could take a bit of time for themselves, get their creative juices flowing, and be reminded of how amazing they are – after all, what’s more creative than making another human being! ‘Pack-A-Pocket’ is as much about making mums feel good as it is about being creative. The message linked to each ‘Pack-A-Pocket’ is shorter than a tweet, but crafting the right words to let another mum know that they are valued requires a fresh perspective and reminds us why mums are great. Stories and images are powerful tools for expressing and sharing our feelings and daily lives.”
