How to… Entertain with a treasure hunt game

Quick and easy idea – Treasure Hunt

Difficulty Level: Little to no effort

It’s Sunday, it’s raining, the kids are up early, nothing is open yet and the ‘I’m bored’ song starts to echo through the house.

A treasure hunt game on standby can create half-hour of fun.

1. Acquire some ‘treasure’ in advance. Could be as simple as small chocolates, cake, pocket money toys or comic.

2. Hide them around the house.

3. Draw a basic map of the house with a cross marking the location of each item of treasure. This can be adapted to age and ability.

4. Let children lose with the map.

5. Job Done!
