Bristol businesses serve up sweet treat for cancer charity
Two business will be serving up sweet treats this week to help support a children’s cancer charity.
Pieminister and Parsons Bakery, will be selling special sweet pies and cupcakes during CLIC Sargent’s Yummy Mummy Week, running from Saturday 26 March until Sunday 03 April 2011.
Pieminister will be donating 50 pence from every sale of their newly launched range of sweet pies with the aim of raising £500.
Parsons Bakery will also be donating 10 pence from the sale of every cupcake priced at 65p.
Spokesperson for CLIC Sargent, Louise Oakley said: “Every day ten 10 children and young people are told they have cancer. The money we receive when customers buy sweet pies or cupcakes will help CLIC Sargent to continue to be there from the point of diagnosis to help the whole family cope with the impact of childhood cancer, its treatment and life after treatment.”
