Quality time with their children helps mothers feel less stressed

Despite much research in the media showing that mothers spend short amounts of time with their children due to modern pressures, research by a children’s cancer charity has found otherwise.

CLIC Sargent found that three in ten mums spend five to ten hours a week on a one-to-one quality basis with their children.

This is double the amount of time the surveyed parents said their own parents managed to spend with them as children.

Further good news coming from the findings showed that having quality one-to-one time with their child helped mothers feel less stressed, with 13 per cent saying it even made them feel younger.
