Name the Teddy to be launched into space by Rainbow Trust

Suffolk schoolchildren are being invited to name a teddy on a very special space mission for children’s charity Rainbow Trust.

The Rainbow Trust are planning to launch a teddy into space on Friday 15 July 2011 – weather permitting – and they are asking school children to name the space bound bear.

The charity is holding the event to mark its 25th anniversary. The trust supports families of a child with life threatening or terminal illness.

To enter the competition schools are being asked to hold a ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ or a ‘Space Themed Dress Down Day’ to raise at least £50 for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

Schoolchildren should then send their proposed name for the bear to the charity by Friday 27 May.  All entries will be placed into a draw which takes place on Wednesday 1 June.

The winning school will be invited to get involved with the launch, name the bear and keep the bear as a school memento.
