Free parenting DVD resource for families with deaf children
A parenting DVD filled with vital information, advice and resources is now available for families with deaf children.
The DVD, produced by the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS), is the first of its kind and available in seven different languages.
Positive Parenting, runs for 30 minutes and is suitable for families with a deaf child of primary school age and younger.
More than 90 per cent of deaf children are from families with no prior first hand experience of deafness.
The DVD will help them deal with a range of challenges they will face, including offering practical tips to help manage behaviour and build confidence.
