Dads want to become more involved with children’s bedtime routines

Dads really are keen to be hands-on with their children, but just 17 per cent were able to take part in their bedtime routine.

A quarter of dads feel that mum is still the main carer when it comes to getting the children to bed.

But, 61 per cent of dads wanted more opportunities to do this themselves.

The statistics come from BabyChild.org.uk, who polled 1,782 UK dads who lived with their child and child’s mother.

A total of 24 per cent of dads felt their partner didn’t want them taking charge of the bedtime routine and 17 per cent of dads did not have enough time.
