Cash strapped parents cancel after school activities

Cash strapped parents are being forced to cancel their children’s after school activities in a bid to save money.

In fact, 34 per cent of parents admit their children don’t take part in anything extra simply due to the financial pressures it placed upon them.

A total of 24 per cent of parents let their children take part in activities outside of school hours but only occasionally.

Of these, 48 per cent only took part occasionally because their child was too lazy to attend on a regular basis.

The research of 1,192 parents by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, found that just 27 per cent of parents had children who didn’t want to do any extra activities outside of their school day.
