Five tips to help you get to school on time

Now that school is in full flow for most – except those parents still struggling with part time reception days, we have put together five top tips for anyone that still struggling to get the kids to school on time:

1. Prepare lunch boxes the night before. Keep meat in the fridge and put a little Post It in the lunch box to remind you to add it in the morning.
Cartons of juice and yoghurt cut down on preparation time. As will handfuls of raisins or berries.

2. Do not let the television be turned on until children are dressed, have eaten breakfast and have brushed their hair.

3. Have a list on the back of your front door of every thing that they will need. This usually includes lunch box, book bag with reading book and coat.

4. Hang school clothes up the night before. This saves ages of deciding and countless different outfits left on the floor. It also saves on washing.

5. Try to organise yourself the night before such as filling in any forms, polishing shoes and count out change for the bus or breakfast club to save running around in panic with a £20 note at 8am.
