REVIEW: Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Worry Dolls at Oxfam

Christmas is quickly creeping up and if you are hunting around for some small stocking fillers, these Guatemalan Worry Dolls are ideal for children over the age of five years.

Children or adults who are too worried about something to be able to sleep tell the tiny dolls what the problem is. The doll is then placed under the pillow to take the worry away whilst the person sleeps.

These tiny people are handmade by the Maya Indians living in the highlands of Guatemala. They are Fairtrade and sold by Oxfam to help the people make a living and receive a fair price for their goods.

There are seven different worry dolls in this pack along with a pretty striped bag to store them. Each doll is totally unique with different faces and clothes. They are only 2.5 CM in length and though robust enough to handle, they are too delicate to play with.

The dolls are lovely, mystical and traditional and totally different to the plastic tat we are surrounded by every day.

Ideal for young worriers.

Best of all…
They are not made of plastic. They are lovely little things with a magical story behind them.

Could improve…
Nothing

Basically…
A great gift to help a young child with any fears or woes.
