REVIEW: Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure – DVD

Beethoven is back in time for Christmas with new DVD – Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure.

It’s Christmas. There’s a naughty elf in trouble. There’s a slightly troubled teen whose dad died. There’s two nasty criminals out to make a profit. And then there’s slobbery, cuddly dog Beethoven – everyone’s favourite St. Bernard since Cujo took a pounding.

The story is full of comfortable cliches, but does have a couple of laugh out loud moments for adults.

Kyle Massey makes for a good harassed Henry the Elf and typically snide American teen Mason (Munro Chambers) is better than a saccharine little girl.

This film really is ‘perfect for the entire family’. Children (sorry mainly girls) from around three years upwards will love this film. And, parents will love the two hours’ peace they will get to themselves whilst it is on.

Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure is available from stores nationwide on 14 November 2011
