Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Fireman Sam Spin and Rescue Game

From Jumbo Games, the Fireman Sam Spin and Rescue Game is ideal for Sam fans as they collect rescue cards in this modern memory game.

Ideal for children aged three years upwards – except those who have sensory issues with sudden loud noises – players spin Sam to hear his voice, sound effects and have a go at finding the card of their chosen character.

This fast paced Fireman Sam game is essentially a more boisterous game of memory. Fireman Sam is dropped and spun into a round base. Who ever Sam and his hose points at gets to go.

The spinner is quite loud with no option to change the volume. If you have a child with a loud noise sensitivity, you may be scraping them off the ceiling – alternatively keep the sound off.

The game can be played by up to six players, but between two and four seems ideal.

The game is adaptable to the abilities of the children playing. If a child is not grasping the finer points of the game, such as listening to the sound instructions, just spin the spinner, but take turns playing memory.

There are not too many fiddly pieces to lose with this game and the plastic appears to be hard-waring.

It is neccesary to really give Sam a good drop and spin to get him to operate.

The sound is very loud and Norman Price’s voice a little grating, but the children who tested this game out for us – boys and girls aged three to six years – loved playing and hunting out their characters.

Best of all…
Good for working on memory skills.

Could improve…
Sam is a little loud.

Basically…
A fun game that will fill an hour on a wet day.
