Chopsy Baby Says: The absolute must-have for every Chopsy Child.

The Chopsy Baby absolutely star Christmas gift for this year has to be the Nickelodeon SpongeBob 3-Piece Junior Drum Kit. Don’t fear that this will be a bit a tat. It’s a proper job drum kit manufactured by John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd.

If you are planning on this being a Christmas Day surprise, don’t think you will just pop it together the night before when they are in bed. It is a fun yet serious piece of kit to assemble. There are full instructions, but trying to do in the dark or the quiet peace of the night will sound like the opening of Eastenders as you crash around and tread on the drum pedal.

The drum kit includes a 12″ x 10″ bass drum and pedal, 8″ x 6″ mounted tom tom, 8″ x 4″ snare drum and stand, 9.5″ cymbal, pair of sticks and a drum stool. It will probably take around half an hour to put together and take up 1.5 by 1.5 meter floor space.

The drum kit is less of a toy and much more a proper musical instrument. It is made of chrome with a wooden shell and can even be tuned. To pack it back down again – perhaps for a move – will only take up a box roughly 90cm by 90cm.

The kit, when played is loud. You will want to move this to the part of the house furthest away from your most problem neighbour – unless the problem is their very loud music. The instructions suggest that the kit is suitable for children aged three years plus. We would perhaps raise this suggestion to four years.
