Chopsy Baby is Reviewing… Maison Boo
Maison Boo creates ethical and organic products to provide skin pampering and protection. The products are entirely made in England with some specifically formulated for use during pregnancy, or for new mothers and babies.
The products have been created by twin brothers and their university pharmaceutical scientist friend whose joint aims were to create organic, chemical free products.
Maison Boo products are created on a farm in Staffordshire and are totally free from SLS, SLES, synthetic fragrances and parabans.
All packaging is totally recyclable and the contents of the products themselves are produced under The Organic Farmers & Growers Stand Certification.
The high end products clearly ooze indulgence and are perfect for special pampering or bonding time rather than quick every day use.
There are three ranges within the Maison Boo label:
Body Bootique – for pregnancy and new mums
Baby Boo Pamper My Baby – a nurturing range for baby relaxation
Baby Bo0 – an every day bath time range

Baby Boo Organic Baby Massage Oil £10
This massage oil is suitable for babies from three months of age. It contains plum, blueberry and roman chamomile
Teresa says: “This massage oil can only be used once Olivia is three months old. I have already signed up for a baby massage course. I hope this will help soothe her colic. I am looking forward to using this massage oil on the course. I have rubbed some onto the back of my hand. The lavender mixed with chamomile smells really nice. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.”
Baby Boo Organic Baby Bottom Balm £16
This balm contains shea butter, borage, strawberries and lavender.
Teresa says: “I have used this on Olivia. I was planning to make sure she didn’t get nappy rash at all. But when I was at the supermarket I had to change her nappy and use a wet wipe. This made her skin really red and angry. I used this baby bottom butter as a soothing barrier cream. It did the job. Again I really liked the lavender smell. So far I have noticed a difference with the smell and feel of these products. I noticed all the products have a standard certification from the Soil Association. I think I can feel a real difference between these organic products and other baby products which are not organic.”
Body Bootique Organic Stretch Mark Oil £13.95
Contains jojoba, calendula, seabuckthorn and rosehip.
Teresa says: “I came to test this out too late in my pregnancy. The directions say it can be used from three months into the pregnancy. I started using it at 35 weeks. Of course the damage has been done by then. But it did feel good on my huge bump. My skin felt constantly itchy and hot across the tightest bit at the front. This was soothing to wear at night.”
Body Bootique Organic Leg & Foot Balm £14
Contains peppermint, spearmint and shea butter
Teresa says: “Oh this was a joy on tired feet fed up with dragging a pregnancy bump around. In fact, I will continue to use this in the evenings even though Olivia has been born. Really refreshing and cooling.”
