Shock findings reveal that 24 per cent of ‘Middle Britain’s’ children had to share a bedroom
FindaProperty had shocking news to reveal at the beginning of the month, claiming ‘Squeezed Middle Britain’ was really feeling the strain.
The comapany’s findings showed a staggering 24 per cent of children were actually forced to share a bedroom.
This awful situation rose to 38 per cent for younger families and to 35 per cent living in London.
A 29 per cent of parents felt their home was just too small for their family to live in comfort.
Property analyst at FindaProperty.com, Samantha Baden explains the problem: “With the average cost of a three bedroom home in the UK now in the region of £193,000, affordability remains a key issue for families. Very few families can afford to buy or rent a property that meets their exact size and location requirements, and as a result, they are often forced to compromise on one or the other.”
