Parents struggle with their children’s homework

School homework causes as much bother for parents as with their children.

Research of 1,000 parents from Explore Learning, found that 47 per cent of mums and 39 per cent of dads struggled to help their children with homework set by teachers.

Maths caused the biggest misery, with 50 per cent of parents struggling over sums compared to 11 per cent not coping with English.

A 15 per cent of parents never, or hardly ever help their children with homework.
