What mothers really want for Mothers’ Day
So, another year, another Mothering Sunday. But what do mothers really want as a gift?
Here are ten ideas for those partners still looking for the perfect present for mum.
1. The gift of stop leaving your wet towel on the bathroom floor.
2. The gift of not leaving coffee cups around the house.
3. The gift of men realising that when they look after the child/ren for a day – and find it tough – that mothers do this every day. More appreciation please.
4. The gift of realising you are parenting your child not babysitting. Looking after your own child for a while is what you are supposed to do. It doesn’t come with medals.
5. The gift of being able to use the bathroom without an assortment of children following you.
6. The gift of stopping the mother-in-law or sister-in-law being passive aggressive to your partner.
7. The gift of you remembering to buy the bread and milk before it runs out. Not mum.
8. The gift of alcohol.
9. The gift of chocolate.
10. The gift of flowers.
Happy Mother’s Day
