Forget another round of Old MacDonald’s Farm with your youngster and take them to Chew Valley instead. This is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours with young children. There are ducks and chickens to feed and a walk round featuring various animals.
There is a large grassy area with a couple of swings and climbing frame for very young children. For older children there are two large go-carts.
The facilities are good, with clean toilets and a well priced cafe serving freshly cooked food at reasonable prices.
Best for ages:
Ages six months to three years.
How much time can you get out of it?
Around two hours is ideal.
Best of all…
It’s very basic and not over commercialised.
Could improve…
Nothing, but there is plenty of room to expand the attraction.
Basically…
A lovely way to spend a couple of hours with young children this summer.
Admission to the animal walk walk: Adults £3, Children £2.50, Under 3s Free. Family ticket £10. Season pass available.
Duck and chicken feed 50p per bag.
