Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Pokémon The Movie Black: Victini and Reshiram’ and Pokémon The Movie White: Victini and Zekrom
Pokémon is the original Moshi Monster. Launched in Japan in 1996, the Pokémon trend reached phenomenal levels of interest in UK children. The Trading Card Game became so popular that children were mugged in the playground for their cards.
Pokémon popularity has not dwindled with yet another feature length film out this month.
Pokémon The Movie: Black—Victini and Reshiram and Pokémon The Movie: White—Victini and Zekrom, is a special double DVD pack of two films.
Ash and his friends meet the meet the Mythical Pokémon Victini, becoming best friends. But Ash has to become a hero and save Victini and Eindoak Town when he is kidnapped.
There is plenty of action on this double DVD to keep kids happy for around three hours. Ideal for children aged 7-12 years, parents still won’t have a clue what the hell it’s all about other than that they are guaranteed a couple of hours peace.
Seven-year-old Guy Hadden, reviewed the DVD for Chopsy Baby saying: “I liked it, it is good. I don’t know why really. The action is great. I like playing the games on my DS too. I liked it because my cousin got me into it and the other boys in my class like Pokémon.”
Guy’s mum Gemma says: “I don’t worry about leaving him to watch Pokémon. Guy loved these two films, though it’s all over my head. He was telling his cousin in great detail all about it so that is a definite thumbs up from him. I’m surprised chilldren still like it as I would have thought they would find the look of this animation a bit dated. But then what do I know?”
