Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Lunchtime by Rebecca Cobb

Chopsy Baby Says: “A warm story with friendly characters and a child most parents can relate to.”

Rating: 8/10

Written for children age three years and upwards, Rebecca Cobb’s Lunchtime, is a fun lesson for one little girl who is too busy playing to want to eat.

It’s a familiar scenario for mothers and daughters. When a little girl is told to sit at the table and eat her lunch, the calling of the paint set is too strong for one wonderfully determined little girl. As she sits out her protest, it’s not long before a crocodile, bear and wolf decide to finish her meal for her.

The lovely illustrations perfectly capture that nursery age independence and determination. The friendly animals are bright and imaginative full of colour and character.
