Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Missing Mummy by Rebecca Cobb
Chopsy Baby Says: “Beautiful, sensitive and helpful.”
Rating: 10/10
Missing Mummy is a book about bereavement. It tells the story of little boy who is upset and confused about where his mother is and why she has gone. It tackles the grief, upset, anger, confusion and ultimately the bitter sweet experience of sharing memories and photographs.
For adults this is an absolute tear jerker but for young children who are going through the agony of losing a mother it is essential.
This book is brilliant. The feelings of the little boy are spot on and the illustrations capture the experience so beautifully.
Best for ages:
2-10 years who are grieving the loss of their mother.
