Chopsy Baby is Reviewing … Hey Presto by Nadia Shireen

There’s a lesson for all children to learn in this lovely new book from the super talented Nadia Shireen.

Monty and Presto are good friends. They have nothing to their names except fun. When Monty spots a poster for new acts at a carnival, the pair of them decide to work together to create a magic show between them. But while Presto makes the magic happen from behind the scenes, showman Monty lets the fame go to his head. Will their friendship survive? And how wrong can TV magic go?

The illustrations are brilliant, the characters warm and the visual jokes delightful. While the children will enjoy the story, parents will love the bag of Cold Hard Cash, the penguin motorbike stunt team and other amusements nestling in the background in a very Aardman way.

For those who have not yet read Nadia’s first book Good Little Wolf, do search it out. It’s probably one of the best children’s books created.
