The Lion King Tour opens at the Bristol Hippodrome Theatre
After eight weeks working on its roar for opening night at the Bristol Hippodrome, the mighty UK Tour of Disney’s musical has finally opened to wowed houses.
This is the first time the musical has gone on tour and has opened at the Bristol Hippodrome running advanced previews ahead of its official opening night this Thursday.
A total of 52 performers from 17 different countries make up the cast, including youngsters from Bristol.
The famous stalls of the Hippodrome theatre have been jiggled about allowing the cast of animals to get up close to audience members.
The show will run in Bristol for 11 weeks, before heading north to Manchester and a variety of other venues during the next two and a half years.
