Chill out time needed for exam stressed children
The pressure of exams are taking their toll on the nation’s children, after an Ofsted survey shockingly revealed more than half are worrying about exams.
The government body interviewed 150,000 children aged 10 – 15 about all aspects of their school life, and found that nearly 60 per cent of them are worrying about their future exams.
Stress expert at Be Happy Be Healthy, Liz Tucker said: “Stress is an inevitable part of taking exams and we need to experience positive stimulation as it helps us manage stress and puts the right amount of pressure on someone in order to achieve good marks. But it is a thin line between this and being overwhelmed with negative stress, which needs to be controlled before it affects concentration, confidence, energy levels and results.”
