Chopsy Baby is Reviewing… Harumika Bridal Collection
Chopsy Baby Says: “Addictive fun.”
Rating: 9/10+
What is it?
In its basic form, the Harumika Bridal Collection contains various bits of brideish fabric, with bits to stick on for decoration. The kit also contains a cardboard mirror and two body forms for the bride and bridesmaid.
So far, it doesn’t sound very impressive, especially compared to its hefty price tag. But actually, this toy is good fun. It’s great for fine motor skills, creating an eye for design, and dressmaking without having to touch a needle or thread.
The two body forms have a slit at the back with rubber grips. You simply use a small poker to push the fabric into the slit and it stays there. Once this is done, you can go to town on the rest of the design.
You won’t be able to take the finished item off and use it as a dress. But you can take the fabrics out and start all over again.
At Chopsy Baby, we invited a couple of seven year old girls to play with the set. They loved it so much, somebody took a few of the pretty fabrics home with them!
Seven year old Cody told us: “It’s pretty. I really like it. I want one for Christmas. It’s good you can just put it in the back. I can then start it again if I don’t like it.”
