Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Little BU Nail Polishes for children

BU nail varnish for children

Chopsy Baby Says: “Does exactly what it claims.”

Rating: 9/10

Young girls have been painting their nails for decades before any worries about over-sexualisation of children reared its head.

Now the fun has become even less harmless since Little BU launched their water-based nail varnish.

In the winter of 2012, Little BU launched a customised Colour Me BU Polish Pack. This pack includes three shades from the Little BU line-up and a Top Coat for a longer lasting finish.

The beauty of their formula is that the though it is glossy, it dries in two minutes and washes off with soap and water. Because it is water based and odourless, it doesn’t fill the house with that awful chemical smell. And you don’t need to use nail varnish remover either. It doesn’t contain DBP, Formaldehyde and Toluene and when spilled can wash out of clothes.

Seven year old Polly and her four year old sister Ivy, tested the polishes out.

Their mother Helen says: “The girls had great fun for an afternoon playing dress up and trying out the different polishes. They are lovely because they look real, but do wash off with no problem at all. I wasn’t worried letting them experiment with these. If they had knocked them over, I was confident I could clean it out of fabrics. As it was, there was no spills at all and the girls took great care with what they were doing.”

Little BU Colour Me BU Polish Pack includes – 3 x Little BU polishes and 1 x Top for £36.95.
