This Month: March 2013

March 2013 is sponsored by trying to get past the doctor’s receptionist to see an actual doctor.

If you manage to get to see your GP via a receptionist, please email us with hints and tips on how to do it.

It seems never a month passes without new social rules and faux pas becoming the norm. This month, we update you on the latest way of behaving on the pavement.

Rules now include:

1. Making sure your dog does a huge poo on the pavement and then tramp it over the next 50 yards of the street.

2. Spit on the pavement so we can all see your bodily fluid glinting in the winter sun.

3. Walk really slowly but keep meandering from side to side so no one can get by.

4. Bump into a neighbour you haven’t seen for twenty minutes and block the entire pavement by chatting about crap for half an hour.

5. Finding the next clean space of pavement and encouraging your dog to cover it in poo again.

Do you consider yourself to be a pushy parent?

“Oh yes absolutely. My daughter is six but I think it is so important to get them to aim high.”

Joanne Lloyd-Phillips
Mother of one

“I think I am a little bit. I have two children in junior school and I do try to enthuse them with different things.”

Anna-Rose Jenkins
Mother of two

“Not really. I have two under five and I think it is as important to give them down time. They are pushed into far too much too early.”
