Protect your toddler with the Harness Buddy at Bits n Bobs

Toddlers are tricky beings with an air of unpredictability in their behaviour. Then comes the difficult stage in their development once they start walking. This can be from any time around their first birthday. Whilst they are learning this skill they still need to be protected from the dangerous world of traffic, dogs, strangers and all the other things that may cause them trouble. Learning road awareness, getting them walking, even exercising is absolutely vital.

Safety harnesses are frowned upon by some parents who believe that toddlers who are not capable of walking down a road in a sensible manner should be in a buggy. Chopsy Baby think this is twaddle. Safety awareness is something that is learnt, and not from the safety of a pushchair.

Safety harnesses are vital to help stop boisterous children from jumping in front of cars, getting lost in crowds, or even stop nasty falls.

When it comes to child safety the final decision falls with the parent, but it is worth bearing in mind that according to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) 10,332  children aged 0 – 4 had an accident on the road or in a car park in 2002.  Safety harnesses may have helped to lower these kind of statistics.

Chopsy Baby loves the 2 in 1 Harness Buddy. It is a toddler safety harness designed as an soft animal backpack. The tail of the animal is the rein part which the adult holds. This can be unclipped in areas where children can run around safely such as the park.
