Soft toys and teddy bears still the most treasured possession of adults

Modern toys are not built to last, according to the rose-tinted view of our own childhood favourites.

A study by Disney Pixar, found that 52 per cent of adults still cuddle up with their old favourites soft toy each night.

A 67 per cent believed modern toys just can’t stand up to the wear and tear that their own toys managed to.

According to the 2,000 adults taking part in the survey, the toys most kept into adulthood are:

 

1.                   Cuddly Toy/Teddy Bear (22 per cent)

2.                   Lego (18 per cent)

3.                   Barbie/Cindy (13 per cent)

4.                   Board games (Monopoly/Cluedo etc…)  (10 per cent)

5.                   Dominoes (8 per cent)

6.                   Rubix Cube (7 per cent)

7.                   Action Man (6 per cent)

8.                   Slinky (4 per cent)

9.                   Scaletrix (2 per cent)

10.               Jack in the box (1 per cent)
