Do you know how to react if your child chokes?
According to the result of a survey carried out for the latest edition of the First Aid Manual, 38 per cent of parents worry about their children choking. In fact, 47 per cent of parents actively avoid giving their children food they worry may cause choking.
But despite their choking fears, though 58 per cent of parents said their would feel confident dealing with knocks and cuts, 57 per cent admitted not feeling at all confident dealing with episodes of choking.
The latest edition of the First Aid Manual priced £13.99 is out now. Published by DK, the book is written and endorsed by all three of the UK’s leading First Aid providers, St John Ambulance, St Andrew’s First Aid and the British Red Cross.
