Holidays for single parents

Going on holiday can be a daunting prospect for single parents. As usual, the days can be fun with your children, but the nights alone in a hotel room are not the best.

If you are up for camping, you may be interested in trying out the Shell Island Camp Fest 09.

Organised by SingleWithKids, a company specialising in social events and holidays for single parents, the camp is typically attended by more than 400 other single parents.

The idea is to let the children play during the day, whilst parents get to let their hair down and socialise with other single parents.

Co founder of www.SingleWithKids.co.uk,  Chrissie Lewandowski said: “Holiday time can be a stressful experience for single parents, especially when surrounded by happy families. With nearly 2 million lone parents in the UK there is absolutely no need for any of us to feel lonely, our aim is to build a social network and community that proves life doesn’t end with divorce”
