Helping children with their algebra homework causes parents biggest headache

If it wasn’t bad enough doing it the first time at school, it has to be done all over again with your children.

Parents are struggling to help their children with homework, with maths causing the most amount of angst.

According to a study of 2000 parents by Aviva, the following ten homework subjects made parents want to cry the most:

1. Algebra

2. Fractions

3. Trigonometry

4. Pythagoras theorem

5. Ratios

6. Roman history

7. Long division

8. American Civil War

9. The Periodic Table

10. Formation of atoms -protons/ neutrons

But a smug four in ten parents made it a mission to be competitive with other parents, even resulting to ask Google for help.
