Primary School Children’s Birthday Parties Average £320.50 Each
Children’s birthday parties are still costing families and arm and a leg, according a survey by www.vouchercloud.com.
More than 2,000 British parents of primary school aged children took part in a study which revealed that the average cost of a child’s party is £320.50,
An additional £175.80 was also spent by the parents on birthday presents making a grand total of £496.30 for a birthday.
Party entertainment was always the most expensive aspect, followed by catering for the children and then decorating the venue.
Though 71 per cent say they plan to cut costs on next year’s event, 81 per cent admitted they want their child to have the best party of the year compared to their classmates.
