Parents Love to Share Classic Disney and Pop Music With Their Children

Parents continue to live vicariously through their children with more than half of UK parents are encouraging their children to do the same hobbies and activities from their youth.

According to research by VoucherCloud.com, involving 2,418 parents with a child under 12 years nostalgia plays a big part in the way they raise their youngsters.

Classic Disney films and pop music from earlier decades are the main ways parents are inflicting their own tastes on their children.

Spokesperson at vouchercloud.com, Chris Johnson believed that sharing part of their past with their children was a great way to bridge generation gaps. But hoped that children would be allowed to indulge with contemporary culture.

He concluded: “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with parents encouraging their children to watch films or listen to music that was popular when they were young; but they still need to be allowed, encouraged even, to watch and listen to current entertainment, particularly as it’s what all of their peers will be doing. A little nostalgia never hurt anyone.”
