Anorak Magazine Celebrates Tenth Anniversary With a Series of Free Events
The delightful Anorak magazine, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year with a series of events and family fun.
The Drawing Imaginarium will be launched at Yorkshire Sculpture Park on the 01 and 02 of April 2016, before moving to London for D&AD’s Festival 22 – 24 April.
The Drawing Imaginarium is funded by Arts Council with support from Paperchase and aims to bring Anoraks regular characters to life with fun and creative activities.
Founder of Anorak, Cathy Olmedillas says: “I feel hugely proud that we have been able to not only last, but grow and thrive for this long, in such crowded and homogenised market. Even more so when I think about the negative response I got from distributors when I first launched Anorak! We cannot wait to welcome all our fans (big and small) at our first festival of fun, which is a new exciting chapter in our happy adventures. ”
Planned workshops during the events include a 2m high Anorak Idea Generator, Fuzzy Folk Felt workshop, readings inside a 60s caravan turned bookshop and Dot’s Colouring House.
All the events are free and will be run by Studio Anorak’s artists.
