Children Taken on Term Time Holidays Have Better Results Parents Say

Perhaps I should have said to the head teacher that the majority of parents who take their children out of school for a term time holiday have better grades overall, instead of the garbled sob story I tried on the holiday form instead.

A total of 38 per cent of parents taking part in a study of 2,107 took their children away on holiday during term time.

According to 67 per cent of these parents their children were achieving excellent results usually As.

But the majority of parents who didn’t take their child out of school for a holiday abroad said their child’s grades were averaging Cs.

The findings were part of a study by by www.sunshine.co.uk  into children’s behaviour and holiday frequency.
