Lucky Voice Karaoke app and Karaoke Kit Review

Lucky Voice are pros at providing live karaoke experiences, even hosting Bring Your Own Baby (BYO) in Islington and running children’s parties.

It opened its first private room karaoke venue in London back in 2005. Now it’s branched out in to bringing the experience into the home using smart phones and computers.

The Lucky Voice app is free to download from the app store for iPhone and iPad and allows you to stream through 3G, 4G or wifi and sing from over 8,000 songs  instantly.

The app is free to use for 7 days, then there is the option to continue using for a £1.49 a week subscription fee. Subscription can be cancelled at any point.

If you want to use a more substantial karaoke system, you can turn your PC into a karaoke machine through a dedicated website and special pack www.luckyvoicekaraoke.com

You currently get a 14 day free trip of the website which then costs £4.99 a month to use. You can play songs and sing along with no additional set up.

However, Lucky Voice has also created a karaoke kit to plug into your PC and sing along with mics. For an additional £50, this is a pretty good kit. There’s a mic, all necessary leads to connect up and a mixer for two mics. It’s absolutely ideal for children’s parties and sleep overs at home.

The instructions are very good so no prior music tech knowledge is necessary. Do keep away from the PC speakers and don’t point the mic at the speakers to avoid that ear bleeding feedback.
