Things to do With Babies and Children in Central Bristol – Nightingale Valley
OK, so Nightingale Valley isn’t technically Central Bristol. But, it’s a hidden gem in Brislington and ideal for childminders bringing to life We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
There are a few entrances to Nightingale Valley. There’s one by Nightingale Valley Surgery and Wicklea Academy. There’s another further down on Wick Road. But the best place to start is in the dip of Allison Road in Broomhill. There’s a small green with a Bristol City Council sign next to a fenced entrance.
The walk takes in streams, nature, dry stone walls, safe train viewing as well as past goats, ducks and chickens.
Allow half an hour at five year old pace but you can go much slower and also take a picnic.
