Sensory Space: Crystal Growing Activity

Crystal growing is a fantastic activity to introduce primary school aged children to simple yet fun science.

These small crystals were made by a supervised six year old using a chemical set with all required items included.

The activity takes as little as five minutes and is fairly mess free. The quality of crystal grown depends on the amount of effort you put into it.

Reasonable crystal growing sets cost around £15 upwards and are available from many toys stores nationwide.
