Booking Now: The Commitments at The Bristol Hippodrome
Roddy Doyle’s popular novel, The Commitments, is taking in a tour of theatres across the UK and Ireland during the end of this year and the beginning of 2017.
The show will be stopping at The Bristol Hippodrome from Monday 20 – Saturday 25 February 2017.
The cast includes Kevin Kennedy as Jimmy’s Da, Brian Gilligan as Deco and Andrew Linnie as Jimmy Rabbitte.
Roddy Doyle says: “The Commitments were born in Dublin, moved to London, and will soon be hopping all over the shop. I wrote the novel – invented the characters – in 1986, and it thrills me to think that they will be entertaining audiences throughout the UK and Ireland 30 years later, in 2016.”
More than 20 classic soul songs are performed on stage during the show, which is directed by C Jay Ranger.
