Single dads struggle looking for love
Being a single parent can mean extra responsibility and more personal sacrifice than being in a relationship. Caring for children is the single hardest task facing single dads, and according to a new survey, finding the next Miss Right is the second.
Jon Clifton a single father from Bath said: “My children are my main priority but, if I had the spare time, I would spend it going out, meeting new people and with a bit of luck, finding a new date. The problem is though freeing up the time to do it – with work and parental responsibilities, it simply doesn’t happen at the minute.”
One in nine single parents are dads, and so often their needs are overlooked not being a majority figure.
Founder of MumsDateDads, Andy Hammonds said: “Being a single parent is extremely time consuming and as a result, many simply give up on going out and finding a new date. However, with MumsDateDads, this situation is transformed into a quick, simple and free process. Simply log-on, search for other single parents and arrange to meet-up.”
