Miriam Margolyes to Host Annual National Osteoporosis Society’s Sing! Christmas Concert in Bath

Film actress Miriam Margolyes, will be hosting a charity concert in Bath this December to raise awareness about the bone disease osteoporosis.

Miriam who has the condition herself, will host the National Osteoporosis Society’s annual Sing! Christmas concert in December.

The event is taking place at St John the Evangelist Church in Bath on Friday 01 December at 7.30pm.

Students from Bath’s Norland College Choir, the Bath Chorus and the Children of Widcombe Primary School will all be performing together, directed by choirmaster Grenville Jones.

Osteoporosis affects bones in the body, making them fragile and liable to breaks. It affects around 3 million people in the UK and causes one fracture every minute.

Miriam says: “As someone living with osteoporosis on a day to day basis I know only too well about the consequences of the condition. I’m very conscious that I could break a bone if I fall. I think that’s one of the things that happens to you as you get older – you feel more fragile and I hate that.”

Early booking is recommended as the event is expected to sell out.
