Millennials Read Six Product Reviews Before Committing to Buy Products
Who on earth wouldn’t conduct extensive research and read reviews before making a purchase? But apparently, that’s symptomatic of Millennial behaviour again.
According to research from BOXT, eight out of ten Millennials won’t buy anything without reading an average of six reviews first and three in ten only buy from websites they’ve used before.
Only eight per cent trusted the opinions of best friends and partners or family members instead.
Those pesky 18 – 37 year olds would happily buy things online if it was cheaper than a local shop. Even then, 45 per cent will have run comparisons on prices from different retailers.
A 2000 UK adults took part in the survey which also found that free delivery was a more popular enticement to purchase online than actually seeing the product in-store.
