Lost Toddler Wandering on Whitehall Road Bristol Police Response

Avon and Somerset police have asked people in the Whitehall and BS5 area of Bristol to circulate their message regarding reports of a missing child.

Yesterday evening, a community post worrying about the welfare of a small child was posted on a BS5 Facebook page.

A local resident posted a message on BS5 Kids saying:  ‘URGENT just had the police knock on my door between St George Park and Whitehall Road – they have found and picked up a little boy and trying to find his parents – he looked about 2 years old, found on Whitehall Road.’

The two-year-old child was found unaccompanied on Whitehall Road by a local resident at 7.50pm Monday evening.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has now posted on their own Facebook page saying that officers attending carried out house to house enquiries to find out where he had come from.

‘A short time later, the boy’s mother reported him missing from the St George’s Park area and officers were able to return him home after appropriate safeguarding checks were carried out. Please share this post in any relevant community groups you are part of.’
