Parents want to know the baby's sex at scans

Most parents-to-be ask sonographers in the hospital what sex their baby will be according to a poll by 4little1s.com.

4little1s.com, the online nursery furniture, baby bedding and baby gifts retailer recently ran a survey to find out what percentage of parents found out the sex of their baby before they were born. The survey then went on to ask the reasons behind wanting to know or not know.

It turns out that people prefer to know the sex of their child in advance, with 53 per cent of parents asking the hospital to tell them at the scan.

Parents who didn’t want to know thought it was ‘more exciting not knowing’.

Practicality won the day for parents who found out the sex of their child with most wanting to know whether to buy pink or blue clothes.

Thankfully the sonographers got it right for everyone. Of the people polled 100 per cent were correctly given the right indication if it was a boy or a girl.
