BBC documentary, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ is responsible for an increased interest in tracing the family tree.

Almost 90 per cent of UK residents want to know more about where they have come from with 62 per cent convinced they are related to royalty.

According to the results from people search engine Yasni.com, one in six people living in the UK are also trying to find a family member they have either never met or lost touch with in the past.
